How the island relates to your licence
The Canary Islands authority distinguishes licences by fishing method. It also describes recognition of recreational licences from other Spanish regions for the methods they authorise. Canary Islands fishing rules remain binding. An island name alone therefore does not determine the licence class.
First check whether you already hold a valid Spanish licence for the planned method. Do not buy a second one solely because you are moving from Tenerife to Fuerteventura or Gran Canaria without checking. If unsure, tell us the licence name, validity and planned method; do not publish a document number in a public comment.
Tenerife: plan access to the shore
Alongside your resort, identify an actual accessible coastal stretch. Check access, a safe return route and current sea conditions. A photograph of a breakwater or ledge proves neither permission to fish nor that the position is suitable on your travel date.

Fuerteventura: fit fishing around a beach holiday
A beach holiday requires more than a convenient route from the hotel to the water. Check bathing zones, local signs and rules for the stretch you intend to use. An empty beach early in the morning does not itself establish permission.
Organise your documents before the first outing. Download the licence to your phone and have identification ready. Allow time to inspect the stretch in daylight and read the maritime forecast for the correct coast.
Gran Canaria: check the specific spot
In Gran Canaria, harbours, beaches and rocky coastlines also present different planning situations. Ask locally about unclear access or harbour rules and check the responsible authority’s information. Ordering through our licence service does not open an arbitrary fishing spot to you.
If you add a boat trip during your holiday, ask the operator which method is planned and which documents the tour covers. Do not automatically transfer shore-fishing preparation to every boat-fishing method.
